American Legion Madera Post 131 is actively seeking a new Adjutant. This is a critical administrative role required to keep the Post operational in good standing with the American Legion.
The Adjutant acts as the Post’s secretary and administrative backbone. Key responsibilities typically include:
- Maintaining accurate membership records, processing dues, and handling new member applications.
- Taking and preparing minutes for meetings.
- Managing official correspondence, announcements, and communications with the Department (Arizona) and National Headquarters.
- Assisting other officers and committees with reports and compliance (e.g., officer certifications, membership data updates).
- Serving as a primary point of contact for members and ensuring continuity from year to year.
This position requires 2 days a week at 3 hours per day, and almost any schedule can be accommodated.
