Brothers and Sisters, on March 9th we celebrated the 100th birthday of T/SGT Jim McGraw. I want to thank all who joined in this celebration. Besides our Chapter, we had the SAPGR and several other Chapters join us, including the Outlaw Car Club. I talked to Jim’s neighbor the next day and Jim was still astonished at the Honor bestowed on him. WELL DONE EVERYONE!!!
ALR Chapter 23 of Nogales will have a ride on the 27th of March. They requested permission to start their ride at Post 131. We gave them permission. They know we have our membership meeting that day so they will relay to the riders to keep the noise down to a minimum. Registration is from 1000 to 1100 and will be done outside. This Chapter could use everyone’s help. So after our meeting let’s try to join their ride.
Our Chapter 131 Memorial box is done. Minnesota Mike, Scooby Doo and Machinehead did an outstanding job. It’s a beautiful piece of carpentry work. They have mounted it to the wall in the Post. We will have a reading of the names at our next meeting on March 27th, as we add them to the memorial box.
I will still need help on March 25th for the Queen of Hearts. It is the ALR’s turn to provide the snack/dinner. Please let me know if you can help. We have been requested to do chicken wings again.
