Well, on a cool spring morning 7 ALR members from 131 rode to Tombstone for the Traveling Trophy steal. The ride was brisk, but a good ride. We were unable to draw a high enough card to steal the trophy. ALR Safford got the steal (see previous “Traveling Trophy” Post).
The next traveling trophy steal is March 9th. Chapter 131 has prior commitments on the 9th because that is the day we will be honoring a WW2 veteran on his 100th birthday. We will ride up to his house and wish him a HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
This Veteran was a B24 bomber tail gunner. He was shot down and captured by the German Army. He was listed MIA until they finally found out he was a POW. Let’s have a huge show of support for one of the finest generation HEROES. We will meet at Post 131 on Tuesday, March 9th at 1330 with KSU at 1345. Everyone is welcome.
Our Chapter 131 Memorial shadowbox is almost done. I would like to thank the three Riders who were willing and able to take on this endeavor. Thanks Minnesota Mike, Scooby Doo and Machinehead. I for one can’t wait to see it!
We have a number of fliers at the Post for upcoming rides. When you’re at the Post, stop and take a look at the ALR bulletin board for info.
Remember your dues are due NOW!
Keep the shiny side up!!
PEACE,
KACKY
