How To Join/Renew

Become a Member of Award-Winning Madera Post 131 – You’ve probably heard of The American Legion.  We’re veterans just like you, nearly 3 million strong, who care about America, veterans, their families, and our nation’s youth.

The National organization starts their yearly membership renewal on July 1st each year for the next calendar year. You can renew your membership by mail or come into the office.

2025-2026 Renewals: The Legion has 272 renewals completed already! 65 of those were online! Online renewals provide you with 1 year, 3 year and PUFL options. If you haven’t renewed for 2025, you can choose the three-year renewal and get 2025-2027 paid for and not lose your continuous years. If you are good for 2025, the three years will give you 2026-2028. The Early Bird time frame started Tuesday and goes until September 30th, so when you renew your membership, you will receive the Early Bird card with your 2026 membership card. If you are a PUFL member, you have an Early Bird drink card that is available for you in the Lounge. If you have paid for a three-year renewal that includes 2026, your membership and Early Bird drink cards are available in the Lounge as well. Renew at: legion.org/renew, or come into the Post office. Dues remain at $50.
